Bradford are hoping that forward Steve Menzies will be available for their Super League clash with Harlequins after recovering from swine 'flu.

Menzies was isolated from his team-mates after displaying symptoms of the virus ahead of their win over Celtic Crusaders.

The 36-year-old became the first known Super League player to have contracted the virus, but is on the road to recovery.

Bulls team-mate Sam Burgess told the Telegraph & Argus: "I think he will be ok for next week, we will just have to wait and see.

"He was a bit poorly but he is on medication now and says he is getting better.

"I don't think it got passed on. No one was feeling bad on the way back and no one signed in sick yesterday, so hopefully it has just been Steve affected."

Bradford find themselves three places from the bottom of Super League, but with a win against Quins they could move within one point of 11th-placed Hull FC.
