Hull FC star Danny Tickle has seen his ban for a dangerous tackle reduced to one game on appeal.

The former Halifax and Wigan forward was handed a two-match suspension for the hit during his side's win over Harlequins on August 21.

But the second rower, who has been ever-present for the club this season, will now be free to face his former employers on Friday night because the Carnegie Floodlit Nines counted as a game missed.

The goalkicker must still pay a £300 fine, but will be able to continue his record of appearing in all of Hull's 26 League and Cup games this season at the DW Stadium.
