Bradford winger Semi Tadulala is set to leave Super League in favour of a move to rugby union, according to Bulls chairman Peter Hood.

The 26-year-old Fiji international only moved to Odsal from Wakefield last year after a proposed move to Guinness Premiership side Gloucester broke down in 2007.

He went on to score 23 tries including five hat-tricks in 26 appearances for the club last year before going on to play at the World Cup in Australia.

But, despite finishing as Bradford's top try-scorer in 2009, Tadulala now looks set for a move to the XV-man game.

"We would like Semi to stay but the amount of money we can pay him can't compare with what's available in rugby union, so I expect him to take their offer," Hood said.

The news will come as a blow for Bradford fans, particularly given the fact the club missed out on the play-offs this year.
