Moore: Committed to Saints
I'm more than happy to be back at St Helens and to commit at least the next three years to them
Scott Moore
Quotes of the week
England hooker Scott Moore will remain at St Helens until 2012 after signing a new deal with the club.
The 21-year-old has been out on loan for two years, initially with Castleford and more recently with Huddersfield, with whom he won his first England cap earlier this year.
After originally making his St Helens debut at the age of 16 in 2004, Moore will return to Knowsley Road next season and is looking forward to playing for the club again.
"I'm more than happy to be back at St Helens and to commit at least the next three years to them," said Moore.
"I'm particularly looking forward to playing again with all my mates who came up through the academy with me and who the club are now giving first team experience to.
"We've got to get some silverware back in the cabinet next season and I can't wait to give it my best shot."
Moore, who made the last of his 19 appearances for Saints in August 2007, will be contending for the hooker post with club captain Keiron Cunningham and England team-mate James Roby.
"Scott has benefited greatly from his loan period away from the club which resulted in regular Super League experience and returns as one of the top hookers in the game and as an England international at the age of 21," said St Helens chairman Eamonn McManus.
"Next year is Keiron Cunningham's final year and it's a great position for us to be in having James Roby and Scott Moore thereafter - again it's a testament to our academy system, through which all three international hookers have come."
