McRae: Preparing for 2010
St Helens centre Stephen Tyrer has agreed to join Salford on a season-long loan deal.
The 20-year-old follows Saints team-mate Matty Smith to The Willows, after the pair spent last season on loan together at Celtic Crusaders.
Tyrer, who made eight Super League appearances for the Crusaders, will join Shaun McRae's squad on November 16 as they begin preparations for the 2010 campaign.
"Stephen has played a lot of Super League and comes from good rugby league stock at St Helens," said Salford director of football Steve Simm.
"We are delighted to have him on board. He brings a wealth of options for us and he will be looking to show everybody what he is truly capable of.
"Like Matty Smith he has been playing a long way from home at the Crusaders so this move will make things easier for him to concentrate on his game."
