Canterbury Bulldogs goalkicker Daniel Holdsworth has agreed to join Salford City Reds for their 2010 engage Super League campaign.

The versatile 25-year-old, who can play hooker, loose forward or either half-back role, has made 70 appearances for the Bulldogs after joining them from St George Illawarra.

Reds director of football Steve Simms said: "Daniel's a great playmaker and he's also an excellent field and goalkicker.

"He hasn't had the chance to show that at Canterbury because he is behind El Masri but we will certainly take a look at that option."

The deal to sign Holdsworth is subject to the Australian securing a work permit.
