Wakefield Wildcats have rewarded seven of their academy players with full-time contracts for 2010.
The Wildcats academy won the Under-18 Grand Final with wingers Dale Morton and Matt King, hooker James Davey and stand-off Matthew Wildie all handed contracts for engage Super League XV.
They will be joined by props Russell Spiers and Kyle Trout and centre Danny Cowling, who were also part of the Grand Final-winning team that defeated Wigan 30-4.
With the academy stars awarded squad numbers for the coming season, it completes a much-changed Wildcats squad to that of last year.
Wakefield lost 11 members of their 2009 squad as head coach John Kear has mixed youth with experience.
Kear said: "We feel we've filled the holes with some experience and some absolutely quality personnel such as Terry Newton, Glenn Morrison and Shane Tronc.
"But the most exciting thing for me has been the impression the youngsters have made on the coaching staff and other players with the enthusiasm and the verve they've brought to every training session."
Kear insists the players deserve their call ups to the first team squad and hope their winning mentality carries on throughout next season.
He said: "There is such a desire within them. They had such a successful year, winning the Under-18 Grand Final, and you can see the confidence it has brought.
"We've got faith in the quality young players that this club is producing and we've put our money where our mouth is by giving them contracts.
"The 30-4 score is still on the scoreboard as a reminder of a very happy day for the club and it will stay there until the first game."

I think the wildcats will struggle,there is not enough players in there prime.They are either old has beens or young kids.I hope i am proved wrong though!

i think the wildcats will do fantasticaly well with there new signings to the first team. i think with the new players in the team the wildcats can now win the rugby league, COME ON U WILDCATS
