Harlequins' Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook and Richard Moore of Wakefield have both been handed one-match bans following a fracas at the end of the Super League fixture at the Twickenham Stoop on Saturday.

The two forwards were summoned before a Rugby Football League disciplinary committee hearing after being sent off by referee Ian Smith.

Quins prop McCarthy-Scarsbrook, who was also fined £200, will now miss his side's trip to Warrington after being found guilty of headbutting Moore.

Moore was found guilty of punching in the same incident which happened during the closing minutes of Wakefield's 18-10 victory.

The Wildcats forward, who will now sit out the home clash with Catalans Dragons on Sunday, was also hit in the pocket to the tune of £300.

Fitzpatrick fined

Meanwhile, Salford's Karl Fitzpatrick has escaped any suspension for the red card he picked up during a pre-season friendly.

The full-back was fined £200 at the hearing on Tuesday after being found guilty of striking during the Reds' victory over Widnes back on January 28.

Fitzpatrick will now be available to play for Salford when they open their 2010 campaign with a trip to Craven Park to face Hull KR on Sunday.

Vikings player Thomas Coyle, who was sent off for a high tackle in the same game, was hit with a one-game ban. He immediately announced his intention to appeal, with a date for the hearing to be confirmed on Wednesday.
