Australia selectors have included Greg Inglis and Josh Morris in the train-on squad for the Four Nations despite the duo being ruled out of tournament through injury.

Inglis and Morris will miss the competition as they both require shoulder surgery - but they will still team up with the Kangaroos.

Fellow injured stars Darren Lockyer (ribs) and Johnathan Thurston (foot) have also been included - although the Queensland half-backs are expected to be fit after in time for the series.

Squad: Darren Lockyer, Sam Thaiday (Brisbane), Michael Ennis, Ben Hannant, Jamal Idris, Josh Morris (Canterbury), Paul Gallen (Cronulla), Cooper Cronk, Greg Inglis, Billy Slater, Cameron Smith (Melbourne), Kurt Gidley (Newcastle), Matt Scott, Johnathan Thurston, Willie Tonga (North Queensland), Jarryd Hayne, Timana Tahu (Parramatta), David Taylor (South Sydney).
