Kevin Henderson has signed a new two-year contract with Wakefield Wildcats.

Henderson, 28, can play in the centre or second row and made 20 appearances during Wakefield's 2009 engage Super League campaign.

The Scotland international, formerly of Newcastle Knights and South Sydney Rabbitohs, joined the Belle Vue club from Leigh Centurions in 2005.

"Kevin is the sort of player every team needs. He puts his hand up to the dirty work time and time again and he does it very well," said Wildcats coach John Kear.

Wakefield's season ended with defeat to Catalans Dragons in the first round of the play-offs last Saturday.
