Wakefield winger Luke George has completed his return to Huddersfield and will rejoin his old club on a two-year contract.

The 23-year-old came through the Giants' academy before joining the Wildcats five years ago and is delighted to be re-united with friends Leroy Cudjoe, Michael Lawrence and Jermaine McGillvary.

"Coming back to Huddersfield is a dream move," George said. "The chance to rejoin my hometown club at a time when they are back as one of the top clubs in the game was simply too good to miss.

"Although I've been away from Huddersfield for five years, I'm still really good mates with Leroy, Michael and Jermaine, who are also from the town, and I can't wait to play alongside them.

"I was in the academy with Leroy and Michael before I went to Wakefield and I've seen the way they have developed under the Giants system."

George, whose father Wilf played for Huddersfield in the 1980s, was out of contract at Wakefield and is currently sidelined with an ankle injury.
