Wigan have revealed that young forward Lee Mossop will miss the rest of the season after suffering the recurrence of a shoulder injury.
Mossop, who has made 18 appearances for the Super League leaders in 2010, was injured playing for the club's under-20 side against Bradford at the weekend. He is to undergo surgery on Wednesday.
"Lee has been extremely unfortunate," said Warriors coach Michael Maguire.
"We all hoped he would be okay to see the season out but that is not the case. It is so unlucky for him, but he is a strong character and he will be fully fit for the pre-season."Super League. Click here to bet.
