Ian Poulter and Ross Fisher will be gunning for World Cup glory after they both produced brilliant winning performances last week.
Fisher defeated Anthony Kim in the final of the Volvo World Match Play in Spain, having also beaten Jeev Milkha Singh, Camilo Villegas and Angel Cabrera to win the title.
Compatriot Poulter was meanwhile firing his way to glory at the Barclays Singapore Open after outscoring the likes of Phil Mickelson, Padraig Harrington, Ernie Els and Adam Scott.
Fisher and Poulter now feel full of confidence and believe they can improve on their sixth place finish in the World Cup 12 months ago.
The event starts on November 26 at Mission Hills Golf Club in China, and Poulter and Fisher expect to be challenging for the title.
"My relationship with Ross is an excellent one," said Poulter. "We played together last year and had a great time and to be honest, we were disappointed we didn't do better than we did even though we recovered well after a shocking start.
"To end the week with 65 in foursomes was pretty impressive and I think showed what we can do. We are both in form at the moment as recent results have shown and we are looking forward to getting out there and having some fun.
"I love playing with Ross. He has massive potential and I am excited to be his partner. He has been very impressive over the last 18 months and his golf is very, very good. He has contended in major championships and he is winning big tournaments.
"I think it is time that England won the World Cup again. It is always time. I think when you have four English players in the top 20 of the world rankings it shows how good English golf is at the moment.
"So it is about time we stepped up to the mark on the world stage. One thing is for sure, we will try our hardest."
The duo hope to become England's third winners of the World Cup, and Fisher echoed the comments of his team-mate.
"I'm really looking forward to playing with Ian - we had a great time last year," Fisher added.
"He has just won, I have just won so we are going to China with high hopes and feel like we can really contend and we are one of the strongest teams there.
"There will be some strong teams there but we are both really up for it and really looking forward to it. We have a very good friendship.
"I played a few practice rounds with Poults at the majors this year and we get on really well. He's just good to be around and we have a good laugh together.
"His sheer levels of confidence are unbelievable. He's so confident in his own ability and that really stands out. He's just massively confident in what he can do, what he can achieve, which is great."
