Choi: feeling good about form
KJ Choi is hoping to complete a double on Malaysian soil when he competes at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club this week.
The Korean won the Iskandar Johor Open in Malaysia on his last visit to the country in October to register his first Asian Tour victory outside of his homeland.
Choi is now hopeful he can add to that success at this week's Maybank Malaysian Open and boost his chances of qualifying for next month's Masters in the process.
"It is very good to be back," stated the 39-year-old world number 96. "I feel the love already and I'm having a good time right now and I'm going to enjoy the rest of the week.
"I feel that my fitness is coming back. It has been a slower start than what I expected because my shots have improved but it is progressing tremendously on a week-to-week basis.
"I have big expectations in the upcoming tournaments."
On his prospects of qualifying for Augusta where he has featured for the last seven years, he continued: "I still have a few tournaments left where hopefully I can put myself in a position to qualify.
"But it is promising because I'm playing better and I have a lot to expect for."
