Woods: Will not rush back into a full schedule
Tiger Woods is to make a tentative return to action as the world number one steps up his recovery.
The 33-year-old has yet to set a date for his first tournament back since rupturing the cruciate ligament in his left knee and suffering a double stress fracture of the lower left leg.
However, Woods has admitted he will not be rushing back into a full schedule, especially as his wife is due to give birth to their second child.
"Once I come back, I'm not sure how much I will play," Woods said in his monthly website newsletter.
"The perfect scenario is I come back without a hitch and play a full schedule.
"At this point, especially with the baby coming, I'm taking it tournament-to-tournament. With our new addition, it's going to be a hectic spring."
Woods has been working with instructor Hank Haney in a bid to return to action - and he has been pleased with his progress since undergoing reconstructive knee surgery following his US Open victory at Torrey Pines last June
"I did some work with Hank Haney for a few days last week and it's all good," Woods continued.
"I'm full-bore with my practice sessions and have no restrictions; it's just a matter of getting my golf endurance up. I don't have my golf stamina back yet."
