I've got a three out of four record and a great ready-made partner in the team. I thought those sorts of things would be positives in the pros and cons columns

Quotes of the week
Justin Rose admits he only has himself to blame after missing out on a place in the European team for this year's Ryder Cup.
Englishman Rose was overlooked as Colin Montgomerie went for Luke Donald, Padraig Harrington and Edoardo Molinari as his three wildcard picks.
The 30-year-old had hoped his partnership with Ian Poulter, who had already qualified automatically, in the last Ryder Cup would work in his favour.
Together the duo combined for two victories in a losing cause in Louisville, while Rose also beat Phil Mickelson in Sunday's singles action.
However he played fewer European Tour events than any of the other leading contenders and after falling down the rankings last season, did not qualify to play in the Masters at Augusta earlier this year.
"I'm very disappointed. I figured I had as good a shot as anybody," Rose said.
"Ultimately it's our own fault. If you put yourself in that precarious position of looking for a wildcard this is what happens.
"Monty said it's the hardest thing he's ever had to do.
"I've got a three out of four record and a great ready-made partner in the team. I thought those sorts of things would be positives in the pros and cons columns."
Rose admits it will be a blow not to be part of the action at Celtic Manor but insists he will come again as a Ryder Cup player with time still on his side.
He will now instead focus his efforts on winning the FedEX Cup having already registered two tournament victories on the PGA Tour this year.
"When you play one you never want to miss another. I have and I only have myself to blame for that," he added.
"But it's not like I'm Miguel Angel Jimenez trying to do it for the last time either. I've got plenty of time.
"And if I win the Fedex Cup (with a first prize of £6.4million) I'm going to be delighted."
