World Snooker have successfully negotiated a sponsorship deal for the China Open in March - the third since Barry Hearn took over as chairman

Essex-born Hearn, who recently replaced Sir Rodney Walker, has succeeded in achieving financial backing for every tournament since being in charge.

The Welsh Open and the Masters were the other two tournaments that received backing, with betting firms signing up to sponsor the competitions.

Sponsorship

Hearn has made a big impact since December and is delighted to have attained this new sponsorship with Sanyuan Foods.

He said: "This is our third title sponsorship announcement within the last few weeks and it's another piece of great news for our sport.

"Very quickly, we've moved from a position of struggling for sponsors, to having one on board for all but one of our televised professional tournaments.

"China is snooker's most vibrant growth area and I'm very excited about the commercial potential there, so this announcement is another step forward."
