Adams: Refreshed and ready to go
Australian star Leigh Adams insists he is ready for the new speedway season.
Adams, who will again captain Swindon Robins in the Sky Sports Elite League, was one of the few to challenge world champion Nicki Pedersen throughout the Grand Prix's last season.
Some suggested Adams may quit the international stage - but after resting in his homeland over the winter - he says he is back and raring to go.
"It's been great to be back home and to keep a reasonably low profile for a few months," he told his own official website.
"The world speedway game is a tough one, and each year the stakes get higher. But I am fit in both body and mind and we have some great gear this year including some very strong engines.
"I kept everything nice and quiet over the winter month and allowed myself the time to wind down and get focused for the new season. We will be ready to go, that is for sure. The team is ready."
The new season gets underway live on Sky Sports from March so stay with Skysports.com for all the news, views, videos and reaction.
