Harris: New Coventry captain
Sky Sports Elite League champions Coventry Bees have confirmed Chris Harris as their new captain.
The British number one was the obvious choice following Scott Nicholls's departure to Eastbourne and The Bees have now confirmed his appointment.
"I'm looking forward to being captain, it's a position of more responsibility and you have to lead the team and be in charge of them.
"We've got a good team again this year and I think the three new riders will gel with the rest of us quite quickly. I've known Simon (Stead) for a long time, and I think the two new reserves can slot in with no problem if we give them time and help."
Meanwhile, Coventry have also confirmed that they have added 18-year-old Kyle Hughes to their asset base.
Hughes, who will ride in the Conference League for Plymouth Devils next year, arrives from Premier League outfit Reading Racers.
