Belle Vue Aces have lost reserve Steve Boxall to a dislocated shoulder.
The winter-signing from Rye House Rockets damaged his shoulder and two fingers as he crashed in their Craven Shield defeat at Coventry.
The young Brit will not be sidelined for long, but he will definitely miss Belle Vue's opening Sky Sports Elite League meeting of the year as host Lakeside Hammers at Kirkmanshulme Lane on Monday.
Because Boxall is a reserve, Belle Vue will utilise their number eight - Australian Robert Ksiezak who rides for Premier League Glasgow Tigers and he will make his debut on Monday.
"Steve is a tough lad but he is very sore and will need a few days off," said Aces boss David Gordon.
