Nicholls: Sidelined
Eastbourne Eagles have suffered a blow with the news that Scott Nicholls has broken his hand.
The Great Britain captain fell heavily during the final heat of Eastbourne's shock win at Coventry on Monday.
The club have now confirmed that Nicholls - who has started the season very well and is already fourth in the averages - has two broken bones in his hand.
Nicholls will now miss the Elite League Pairs event on Saturday and also their Sky Sports League clash with Peterborough Panthers on Tuesday - which is live on Sky Sports.
Chris Harris, who Nicholls clashed with on Monday, will ironically guest for him at the East of England Showground.
Eastbourne hope Nicholls will be ready to return after the Peterborough meeting.
