Harris shows form for Bees
Elite League favourites Poole Pirates proved too strong for defending champions Coventry Bees at Wimborne Road on Wednesday.
Both sides are struggling with injuries at the moment although Bees suffered a new problem as Olly Allen - in great form this season - was forced to withdraw from the meeting after receiving a head injury.
Poole went into the meeting without their trio of Poles Adam Skornicki, Karol Zabik and Zibi Suchecki - but they were not missed as The Pirates claimed an impressive 53-39 success.
Chris Holder was the man of the moment as he claimed a perfect 15-point maximum and reserve Freddie Eriksson continued his fine form with 13+3.
Heat-leading duo Bjarne Pedersen (12+1) and Davey Watt (8) also did their bit as guests Mads Korneliussen and Tomas Suchanek failed to make major impacts.
Billy Janniro was The Bees' top man as his brilliant early season form showed few signs of abating as he claimed 13+2 and Chris Harris (13+1) was also in good form.
However, Coventry - already without Rory Schlein with a hand injury - struggled following Allen's injury and could not match their opponents.
