Leigh Adams is looking forward to putting the first round of the Grand Prix series behind him when he takes to his home track in Poland this weekend.

The veteran Australian endured a terrible start to the campaign in Slovakia, picking up just five points, but refuses to dwell on his ill-fortune in Krsko.

"What happened in Slovenia was no one's fault and that is the sort of thing that can happen when the weather changes mid-meeting," he said. "I had the two worst gates at the worst time and I paid the price.

"I've been thinking about it a lot and the way I see it now is that provided everyone else has a day when luck becomes their enemy then I'll be happy.

"I must admit that is one of the few times in my career when I've been really disappointed with how I've performed and I'm very keen to use that as a learning experience this Saturday. Leszno is big and fast and the cream will rise to the top.

Pedersen out

"I believe the meeting is sold out so the atmosphere will be awesome. The people there have been awesome to me for over a decade and if I can pay them back with a GP win and ultimately a world title victory then it will be an unforgettable experience."

Bjarne Pedersen has been ruled out of the European Grand Prix with a broken wrist, and will be replaced by Lubos Tomicek of the Czeck Republic.

Jonas Davidsson has been announced as the wild card rider for the Swedish Grand Prix on May 24.

The event marks the return of the world championship to the world-famous Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg and gives the Lakeside rider a chance to compete at the highest level.
