Swindon Robins have announced the capture of highly-rated Australian prospect Richard Sweetman.
The 17-year-old will arrive next month to begin his British career but it will not be with Swindon as he will be loaned out to a Premier League side for the rest of the season.
Swindon team boss Alun Rossiter was delighted to beat a number of clubs to Sweetman's signature.
"This signing continues our policy of recruiting talented young riders as we keep one eye firmly fixed on the future," Rossiter told the club's website.
"Our hard work over the past few seasons now means we have established ourselves as a desirable club for riders looking to establish their careers.
"We envisage Richard playing a big part in our future and are thoroughly
excited about welcoming him to Britain."
