Richardson: Top scored
Eastbourne's top five pulled out all the stops as the Eagles defeated the table topping Swindon Robins 50-43 in the Elite League on Saturday night.
The visitors led briefly early on but but two wins apiece for Scott Nicholls, Lee Richardson and Ed Kennett ensured the points stayed at home, with Cameron Woodward and guest Joonas Kylmakorpi providing solid support.
Swindon struggled to find the same consistency away from Blunsdon, Leigh Adams scoring 17 points after losing to Nicholls in the opening heat - a double-points win in Heat 11 providing little respite for the Robins.
Reserve James Wright continued his fine form with 10+3 from seven rides but of the other only Troy Bachelor managed a heat win.
The damage was done during the middle of the evening with Nicholls (9+2) and Kylmakorpi (7+2) teaming up for two 5-1s after Richardson (12) and Woodward (8+4) had paired up to put the Eagles in front for the first time.
See what has got the Sky Sports experts' tongues wagging over a busy seven days in sport.
