Poole Pirates grabbed a healthy 13-point advantage over Swindon Robins in the first leg of their Knockout Cup clash at Wimborne Road.

Star of the show for The Pirates was Swedish reserve Daniel Davidsson who claimed 13+1 as the hosts claimed a 53-40 win.

Leading lights Davey Watt (11+1), Chris Holder (10+2) and Bjarne Pedersen (10) all hit double figures, whilst Adam Skornicki also showed up well.

The Robins were led wonderfully by Leigh Adams, who was unbeaten on 18 - including a tactical victory.

The Robins were without the injured Troy Batchelor and they were much weaker without him as only Mads Korneliussen (11) provided any back-up for Adams.

The second leg takes place at The Abbey Stadium on Thursday night.
