Coventry Bees have confirmed they have completed the signing of exciting young Brit Ben Barker.

Barker has been number eight at Brandon this season, doubling up his role in the Premier League with Stoke Potters.

The youngster was a Reading Racers asset but he has now sealed a deal with the Bees.

"It's brilliant to have this completed, he's a great lad and I'm delighted to have him on board," Bees chief Allen Trump said.

"Ben's been a revelation when he's ridden for us this year, and we saw it again on Friday.

"Nothing seems to faze him, he just goes out there and does it.

"He's not worried about the track or who he's up against and I think he's a terrific prospect."

Barker will see plenty of action over the next month as Coventry have confirmed that current reserve Stan Burza is sidelined for a month with a back injury.
