Wolverhampton Wolves have held talks with former star Jesper B Monberg about a possible return to Monmore Green.

The Danish international, formerly known as Jesper B Jensen, spent six years with Wolves up to 2003 and he was a firm fans favourite.

His last taste of British speedway came last season when he had a brief spell with another of his former clubs Ipswich Witches.

Now bottom of the table Wolves are looking at bringing the 30-year-old into their line-up.

"It would have to be right for both the club and for me at this stage of the season," he said. "I'd like to do it, but I guess they have to decide if it's worth it."
