Peterborough Panthers have re-signed Ryan Sullivan and Karol Zabik.

Panthers legend Sullivan arrives back at the East of England Showground and replaces Hans Andersen - who has departed for Coventry.

Zabik, who started the season at Poole Piartes, also comes back to the club he briefly appeared for in 2006.

Sullivan is delighted to be returning to the club he left in 2006.

"I really enjoy living out in Poland and will continue doing that, but it will make a nice change to pick up an English newspaper and chat to people in this language," said Sullivan.

"I miss the friends I have in Peterborough and am looking forward to catching up with them. The Showground is my home away from home and I have had so many good times there.

"I have a completely open mind and you never say never in speedway. No-one ever knows what the future might hold, but I did think I had raced for Peterborough for the last time in the 2006 final.

"I don't want to over-commit myself and don't feel I am by taking on these fixtures at the end of the season. I am keen to do a little bit more racing and this gives me the opportunity.

"I can't fulfil every one of Panthers' meetings because of my existing commitments in Russia, but Colin Horton understands the situation I am in.

"I haven't really followed British speedway since I have been away and didn't even know how Panthers were doing in the league until being told the other day."

Zabik belief

Panthers owner Colin Horton is convinced Zabik will produce the goods.

"I have spoken to Karol several times and I am 100 per cent certain that he genuinely wants to come back to the club," he told the Evening Telegraph/

"Myself and Karol will shake hands on Thursday and leave the past in the past.

"All I care about is what's best for Peterborough Speedway and bringing in a rider of his undoubted talent can only be a benefit.

"Karol was absolutely fantastic around the Showground in his short time with the club in 2006 and it is a signing that really excites me."
