Holder: Top form for Poole (Pic credit Les Aubrey)
Poole Pirates are back on top of the Sky Sports Elite League after victory over Lakeside Hammers.
Lakeside had taken top spot earlier this week, but they could not grab an unlikely victory at Wimborne Road to stop Poole leapfrogging them again - but they were far from outclassed by their South Coast rivals.
Poole's heat-leading trio of Chris Holder (11+1), Bjarne Pedersen (11+1) and Davey Watt (10) all delivered the goods which steered The Pirates to victory.
Lakeside were without number one Andreas Jonsson, who wife is expecting a baby, so they were forced to field rider-replacement.
The Hammers could not got to terms with being without their Swedish star although captain Adam Shields (13+1) and Joonas Davidsson (13) both scored well.
Reserve Ricky Kling also showed well with nine plus one, but there was little else on offer from the Essex side.
See what has got the Sky Sports experts' tongues wagging over a busy seven days in sport.
