Holder: Poole hero (Pic credit Les Aubrey)
Poole and Coventry must replay their Knockout Cup semi-final tie after The Bees grabbed a remarkable draw at Wimborne Road.
The Pirates were firm favourites to progress after holding Coventry at Brandon earlier in the week, but the new look Bees led brilliantly by recent signing Hans Andersen claimed the draw - indeed it could easily have worse for the home side.
After 29 heats the match came down to Heat 15 and the Poole hero was Chris Holder, as Coventry were on a 4-2 with Harris ahead of Holder - but Australian produced a scintillating move to go around the Brit and salvage the draw.
Holder was again Poole's top man with 13 whilst Daniel Davisson performed tremendously for his 10+1 - Adam Skornicki (7), Freddie Eriksson (6+4) and Davey Watt (6) all battled hard and they had to as captain Bjarne Pedersen turned in one of his lowest scores in his Pirates career with a paltry 3+1, and the previously in-form Magnus Zetterstrom did not score a single point.
Andersen top-scored for The Bees with 11+1, whilst there was strong support throughout from Harris (10), Billy Janniro (8+2) and Simon Stead (8+1).
New reserve signings Robbie Kessler (2+1) and Filip Sitera (1) will not have been overly pleased with their returns.
In the first leg of the second semi-final at the Arena-Essex Raceway it was more straightforward as Lakeside Hammers claimed a 52-41 success over Eastbourne Eagles.
Lakeside had to use Rory Schlein as a guest for the injured Andreas Jonsson, whilst they were forced to use rider-replacement for another absentee Joonas Kylmakorpi.
Lakeside had hoped to push new number eight Kauko Nieminen into the main body but that move was blocked and he had to start as number eight in the riding order - but that enabled him to take all of Kymakorpi's rides anyway and he did that with great aplomb.
The Workington Comets star grabbed a tremendous 7+1 from his four rides and contributed to a comfortable win for The Hammers.
Captain Adam Shields led the side home with 12+1 with Schlein doing well for 11, but their were no bad displays for the home side with Lubos Tomicek (7+2), Ricky Kling (6+1), Leigh Lanham (5+3) and Jonas Davidsson (4+1) all contributing.
Whilst Lakeside produced a good team display, Eastbourne were far too reliant on their top order.
Scott Nicholls was in fine form with 19 and Ed Kennett grabbed 11 but there was no other big scores for The Eagles.
See what has got the Sky Sports experts' tongues wagging over a busy seven days in sport.
