Batchelor: Brilliant maximum (Pic credit Les Aubrey)
Swindon Robins consolidated their place in third by thumping basement club Wolverhampton 63-29.
The Robins were in scintillating form with Troy Batchelor, Leigh Adams and Jurica Pavlic all claiming maximums.
Batchelor was the pick for the home side as he claimed a perfect 18 from six rides, whilst Adams (13+2) and the brilliant young Croat Pavlic (14+1) grabbed paid maximums.
The returning Seb Alden also showed up well with 8+1.
Wolves had Niels Kristian Iversen missing through injury and they struggled without him, with David Howe also crashing out of the meeting early on.
Freddie Lindgren grabbed 12 - but he failed to win a heat in that haul. Indeed Wolves managed just one victory all night through Nicolai Klindt.
Second from bottom Peterborough missed the chance to go level with Eastbourne after The Eagles claimed a shock 54-39 success at The East of England Showground.
Kenneth Bjerre showed up well with 13+1 for The Panthers but number Ryan Sullivan (3) and Danny King (6) will not have been happy with their efforts.
Eastbourne were in fine form with Ed Kennett grabbing a 12-point maximum, while reserve Simon Gustafsson performed excellently with 11+1.
British stars Lewis Bridger (10+2), Lee Richardson (9+2) and Scott Nicholls (7+1) also provided substantial back-up.
