Exeter Falcons will be back on track next season, it has been confirmed.
The Falcons last raced in 2005 when their previous County Ground home closed.
Now owner Allen Trump has succeeded in gaining planning permission to build a track within Haldon racecourse.
"I've been a Falcons' fan all my life and when the old County Ground stadium was sold for development and the speedway closed in 2005, I was determined to make sure it continued," said a delighted Trump - who also owns Elite League Coventry Bees.
"It has taken longer than we thought, three years in fact, as various difficulties kept appearing. But we gradually overcame all of them, and finally got the news we wanted. "
Exeter have already applied to run in the Premier League - the second tier of British speedway - next year.
