Karol Zabik has announced he wants to be back with Poole Pirates next season.

The Polish youngster started the season on the South Coast but was axed after a two-month spell.

He returned to England with Peterborough recently and has impressed at the East of England Showground - but he has already told The Panthers hierarchy that he wants to be at Wimborne Road next term.

"I'm with Panthers until the end of the season but I've told them I want to ride for Poole next year," he told the Bournemouth Echo.

"There's nothing bad with Peterborough. They've been good to me and I get on well with everyone there.

"They wanted to know what I wanted to do next year and I told them after my last meeting at Peterborough I wanted to be with Poole.

"I'm not saying Peterborough is a bad place. It's not, but I've so many friends at Poole, so I said to Peterborough, Poole is the place for me.

"I have good friends here, including David Adams of Wessex Marine, and Neil Middleditch and Matt Ford, who is the best promoter in the Elite League.

"My mechanic feels very good here as well, so this is the best place for us to work together."
