Peterborough Panthers have concluded the full signing of Claus Vissing.

The Danish youngster has impressed in his maiden Elite League season following his winter move from Premier League Stoke.

Now Peterborough have added Vissing to their asset base and he seems certain to be in their 2009 line-up.

"I have had a great time since coming into the Elite League and I love riding for Peterborough," Vissing told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph.

"It is really nice to become an asset of the club and I hope I can have a lot of years racing here.

"The club has had some problems this year but I think it has a bright future - and hopefully I will only get better as a rider as well.

"I should be able to score more points away from home now I have experience on all the tracks and I just hope I get a contract for next year."

Vissing's signing was announced at a fans forum, where team boss refused to comment on Hans Andersen's possible return to the East of England Showground.

"At this stage we can't really rule anyone in or out of our plans for next year," said Swales.

"It is a fine balancing act because we have to know the riders we want, but we can't risk moving too early until we know the criteria for next season - and that will be decided at the BSPA AGM.

"We took the very unusual step of announcing Karol Zabik as a 2009 rider because we felt it was essential he committed his long-term future to the club before returning for the remainder of this season."
