McGowan: Back in side (Pic credit Les Aubrey)
Title chasing Swindon Robins have recalled Travis McGowan to their side.
McGowan was on the brink of signing for Premier League basement side Mildenhall Fen Tigers - but he now find himself back in the Elite League play-off picture.
Swindon are set to face Lakeside Hammers at Purfleet on Monday for a place in the Grand Final.
The Robins lost Seb Alden to injury on Monday at Coventry and now it has been decided to bring back McGowan - who was dropped earlier in the season.
"Travis has been approved so he's coming in for Monday night," confirmed team boss Alun Rossiter.
"It's a great chance for him to redeem himself, if you like.
"We felt it was the right thing to do because it was a big ask for us to have two such young reserves in for the semi."
Swindon had earlier announced that they were going with youngster Richard Sweetman but they have instead opted for McGowan.
"We were initially going to use Richard Sweetman on Monday, but the chance to bring back Travis is one that couldn't be missed. He brings some experience to reserve and should perform well alongside Cory," added Rossiter.
