Davidsson: Wants to stay put (Pic credit Les Aubrey)
Lakeside star Jonas Davidsson has stated that he will give British speedway a miss if he not recalled by the Essex side.
The Swede has been a sensation for The Hammers this term, adding nearly two points to his average, and is now one of their heat-leaders.
Davidsson is highly likely to feature next term for the beaten Grand Finalists, but if he doesn't then he says that he could sit out the Elite League in 2009.
"I want to be back, that is what I am looking at and that is my plan," he told the Speedway Star.
"I have been with so many clubs I think it would be stupid to move on again.
"I had four really difficult years but I kept fighting and it feels like I have turned it around.
"Every time I come to Lakeside, I'm extremely happy and that hasn't been the case before.
"If they can't fit me in, maybe I'll just stay home and do Sweden and Poland next year, but I am pretty sure I'll be back."
