Pedersen: GP aim
Bjarne Pedersen has insisted he has not given up his Grand Prix career despite not qualifying for the 2009 series.
Poole Pirates skipper Pedersen had announced that he was considering quitting the top-level of speedway - having been a regular competitor since 2003.
He missed out on a top-eight finish this year, which is the automatic qualifying cut-off and with a wild card looking unlikely, he faces the prospect of waiting until 2010 at the earliest.
But the experienced Dane admits he will be looking to qualify for the 2010 campaign.
"One of my goals for next season is to get a wild card into the Danish GP and I'll also be entering the 2009 GP qualifiers.
""I need to use next year to try out and run new engines, get everything up to a maximum to be ready for the GP in 2010 if I qualify.
"I don't feel Bydgoszcz was my last GP. I feel I have so much experience. I have to set myself new goals for next year and then go for them."
