Coventry Bees retained the Craven Shield after victory over Lakeside Hammers.

Coventry were firm favourites after a shock win at Arena-Essex in the first leg and they sealed victory with a comfortable 58-35 win.

Hans Andersen finished the season in fine style with paid 14-point maximum.

And Ben Barker - who will surely step up to be full time in the Elite League next term - grabbed a wonderful 12-point maximum with four heat wins.

The rest of the Bees line-up were solid rather than spectacular which sums up their campaign - but they will be delighted to end the season with silverware.

Lakeside, the grand final runners-up, again came up short as they ended an otherwise brilliant campaign on a low note.

Number one Andreas Jonsson did his best with an excellent 18 - but there was far little else on show for the visitors.
