Bridger: On his way out
Lewis Bridger has confirmed that he wants to quit Eastbourne this winter.
The 19-year-old has experienced a problematic time on the South Coast over the last season with a number of incidents both on and off the track.
Now the former Weymouth Wildcats star thinks the time is right to leave The Eagles - who finished the season with silverware after lifting the Knockout Cup.
"I am looking to the future and I want to get away next season and get to a big track, it depends where I can get the right deal," he told the Speedway Star.
"I have had discussions with two of three clubs and I am sure you can work out the teams I might possibly go to.
"I am not moving from the club because of the management or anything like that because they're great, but I don't want to be stuck at Eastbourne anymore."
Bridger admits he struggles with life around his hometown.
"I'm fed up with going down my local shop and everyone knowing me and wanted to talk about speedway," he said.
"I just want to get away from here, I know too many faces down at Eastbourne and there are too many people who know too much about me."
