Nicholls: Undecided (Pic credit Les Aubrey)
British number one Scott Nicholls has refused to confirm whether he will be taking part in the Elite League next season.
With Jason Crump already having decided to miss next year's campaign, it would be a huge blow should Nicholls opt out of English racing.
Nicholls is sweating on his Grand Prix future as he is relying on a wildcard nomination - although along with Emil Sajfutdinov he is expected to be included.
Having just finished the season with Eastbourne Eagles, Nicholls admits he is yet to decide what he will do next term.
"I've got a lot of balls in the air at the moment and I don't know what decision will come back from the BSPA conference," said Nicholls.
"No decisions have been made. I'm waiting to hear about the wild card, and I have to ask myself would I commit to all three leagues.
"I really hope I get back in (the GP). I think I've been really unlucky this season, things haven't gone my way.
"The biggest thing for me is I have shown I am capable of more. I'm much happier with my equipment now, I'm better placed. The building blocks are there for next season."
