Harris: New deal (Pic - Fotospeedway.pl)
Coventry Bees have confirmed the return of captain Chris Harris for their 2009 campaign.
The British Grand Prix star has agreed terms to again lead the Bees in the Elite League campaign.
Harris's inclusion was confirmed at the same time as Coventry also confirmed Ben Barker would be with them for his first full season of top-flight action.
Barker performed admirably as number eight for The Bees last season but he will now spend the whole season solely with Coventry.
"It's good to have negotiations with Chris completed, and it means the top end of our team is taking shape nicely," promoter Colin Pratt said.
"Ben made a real impact for us last season and he is another young British rider who we have invested in for the future.
"Talks will continue with other riders to complete the team, and we know who we want."
Coventry now have four of their line-up confirmed with Barker and Harris joining Rory Schlein and Olly Allen in their VII.
