Eastbourne boss Bob Dugard has had a re-think over Ed Kennett's transfer to Coventry.

Dugard was left far from happy over the winter when the Great Britain international asked to leave Arlington.

The club insisted they wanted a British record fee for Kennett - but that never appeared likely.

Coventry always made their interest known and the rider admitted he wanted to move to Brandon, but Dugard then agreed terms with another un-named club.

But Kennett always wanted to sign for Coventry and did so earlier this month, with the BSPA due to adjudicate on a fee in the next few weeks.

However, Dugard is now willing to let Kennett move on loan to Coventry after he claimed the rider made it known that he would be happy with that arrangement.

"I've been passed a message that Edward is quite willing to go on loan," said Dugard.
