Coventry chief Colin Pratt has slammed rivals Eastbourne over the Ed Kennett saga.
The Bees finally landed Kennett earlier this month after a winter-long chase for the Great British star.
Eastbourne acted with anger when Kennett confirmed his desire to leave The Eagles and join The Bees.
Coventry agreed terms with Kennett and are more than happy to go to BSPA arbitration - who will set a fee for the transfer.
Eastbourne, though, in recent days have relented in their stance and admitted they would be happy to loan Kennett - something they previously insisted was not an option.
But Pratt insists Coventry will be going to arbitration - which is set for April 7th.
"I assume this is another of the children's fairytales coming out of Eastbourne are they running a comedy show there?" Pratt told the Coventry Evening Telegraph.
"If they had been sensible in the first place and allowed Edward to go away for a year or two on loan as he had wanted, we wouldn't have got to this position.
"We couldn't do any more than we did, and when he came in on Friday he insisted again that he doesn't want to go on loan after all that has happened.
"His transfer request remains in place, and we have paid the fee for the arbitration hearing. We won't be going back from there."
