Swindon moved four points clear at the top of the Sky Sports Elite League after their 55-37 victory over Ipswich.

The Robins have now won eight meetings on the bounce to hold the advantage over title rivals Wolverhampton.

Swindon were simply too strong for the Witches, with the hosts recording 12 wins on the night.

Matej Zagar and Simon Stead led the way with three wins apiece as they both scored 13+1 point hauls, while Leigh Adams chipped in with a further three wins for 11 points.

Travis McGowan and Cory Gathercole also raced to wins for the hosts.

For the Witches, Robert Miskowiak was in inspirational form as he picked up 16 points, but he lacked the support of his team-mates.

Peterborough closed in on third sport with a 48-42 victory over Eastbourne.

The Panthers saw their 2008 Rider of the Year Claus Vissing show signs that he is back to his best with a bumper 15+4 points haul.

Vissing, who missed most of April after breaking his collarbone, recorded back-to-back wins in heats 10 and 11.

Lukas Dryml recorded four wins in his 15-point tally but it was not enough for Eastbourne.
