Pedersen: Ruled out (Pic credit Les Aubrey)
World champion Nicki Pedersen has been ruled out of the Latvian Grand Prix.
The Danish superstar crashed heavily during the recent World Cup and has needed skin graft surgery on burns to his left leg.
As a result, Pedersen has been told not to risk riding so soon after the operation and he has confirmed he will miss the meeting at Daugavpils.
"The wounds need to be completely healed before I get back on the bike, otherwise I could risk having problems for the rest of the season," said Pedersen.
Pedersen will now return to GP action at the Scandinavian event in Malilla in mid-August.
First reserve Niels Kristian Iversen will take Pedersen's place in Latvia.
