Quotes of the week
British star Tai Woffinden is understood to be on the verge of being confirmed as one of next season's Grand Prix wild cards.
BSI - the promoters of the Speedway series - decide on the final four riders in the line-up, who join the eight qualifiers from this year's Championship, and the three riders from the GP Challenge.
Freddie Lindgren and Hans Andersen are all but certainties to receive their invitation back into the series, but the other two spots are very much up for grabs.
But now reports are emerging that Woffinden has secured one of them and he admits he is hearing the same thing.
"I've been told I'm in by everyone apart from the person who needs to tell me," he said.
"I'd welcome the opportunity and would give it everything I've got, as I do in every race. But I haven't been told officially yet so we'll have to see.
"Personally I would welcome the challenge, I would be up for it in a big way and I think I could give it a real go.
"It's what I've been working towards in my career so I hope the call comes, if not now in the not too distant future.
"I will be focussed on the fact I will be Wolverhampton next season and riding in Sweden and Poland.
"I just hope my dream will come true and I get the call."
British champion Chris Harris had also been expected to be confirmed, but speculation is suggesting that Ed Kennett could be a shock contender to replace him, whilst the likes of Matej Zagar and Antonio Lindback will also still be hoping for the call.
