Swindon Robins have made a move for Polish starlet Grzegorz Zengota.

The 21-year-old is very highly-rated in his homeland and Swindon have made their move,

Zengota, who rides for Zielona Gora in Poland, is due to visit Wiltshire before finalising a deal.

"He's one of the highly-rated riders coming out of Poland and I think he will be on quite a few clubs' radars," team boss Alun Rossiter told the Swindon Advertiser.

"He comes highly recommended and we've been keeping tabs on him for some time now.

"It should be quite an exciting signing and he's a prospect we hope for big things from.

"He's just finished his Under-21 stuff so that won't give Swindon any hindrances."

Jonasson

The club also confirmed the signing of Swedish prospect Thomas H Jonasson.

The Rovins have been chasing the Edinburgh Monarchs ace since the end of the season and have now agreed terms with the rider.

Swindon are still in talks with Edinburgh, other whether the deal will be a loan or a permanent deal.

"I'm very pleased to have him on board," Rossiter added.

"He's a rider that will excite people around Swindon and I think he will bring a lot to the club."

Swindon confirmed that Lee Richardson, who was overlooked by Lakeside - is not in their plans for next season.
