British champion Chris Harris has agreed terms to remain at Coventry in 2010.

Harris has been linked with a move away from Brandon, but the Bees skipper has committed again to the Midlands outfit.

Harris, who could possibly be banned from riding in Poland next season due to a dispute over a postponed match, has been handed a Grand Prix wild-card and he will be looking for a big season next year.

"Chris improved his average last year and it was also good to see that his gating was much more consistent in the final weeks of the season," Bees promoter Colin Pratt said.

"It's always easier to climb the ladder as he did a few years ago, resulting in his British Grand Prix win, than it is to stay there - it's like when you score your first maximum, everyone expects the same again every week.

"But Chris has always worked hard for our club during the time he's been us and I'm confident that we will see even more from him next year."

Coventry have also confirmed Josh Auty will ride at reserve in 2010 in a doubling up-role with his Premier League club Sheffield Tigers.
