Eastbourne Eagles have completed a major transfer coup after confirming the signing of Slovenian ace Matej Zagar.
The Eagles had been lining up a deal for Hans Andersen as they decided they needed a top-class number one to lead them next season.
But now Eastbourne have confirmed an agreement has been done for Zagar - who shone for Swindon last season.
Zagar came in for the injured Troy Batchelor in May and his form was so good he kept his place in The Robins side and was one of the leading lights in the Elite League.
Zagar's excellent form an average of over 9 - meant it iwas almost impossible for Swindon to bring him back, and he has now agreed terms with Eastbourne.
"Matej is a young rider who is on the up. He has improved every year," said team boss Trevor Geer.
"We are absolutely delighted to have him in the team. We want a group of seven riders who can all improve and he fits the bill for us."
